In N.
America, Ramadan may begin on 22 August 2008 though the sighting is very
difficult in most of the USA. Naked-eye visibility is limited to
Southern Texas, Western Arizona and Southwestern California (San Diego).
South and Southeast Asia, and Makkah (but not Cairo) will also start on
Saturday after they see the Hilal on Friday.
The
rest of the Muslim world and Europe including UK Ramadan will insha-Allah
start on SundayAugust 23)

Eid al-Fitr 1430: |
September 21 |

In the USA and
Canada Eid al-Fitr is on September 21. In the USA Shawwal moon’s
visibility is possible only on Sep. 20 (Sunday). The Moon’s altitude is
less than 6 degrees at sunset in all of the USA
Most regions in Southern
hemisphere from Australia to South America will have Eid on Sep. 20
(Sunday). In most of the Muslim countries a Hilal will be visible only
on Sep. 20 evening making Eid on Sep.21 or Sep. 22.
Saudi date: September. 20
(On Sep. 19, a 20 hours old moon will not be visible in Makka or
Cairo.)

Eid al-Adha 1430: |
November 28 |
(Saturday) |
In the USA Eid
al-Adha will be Insha-Allah on Saturday, November 28 after the
Hilal of D.H is seen on Nov.18. S. Africa, and S. America will
see a Hilal on November 17.
In most of the
world, including Saudi Arabia and Egypt D. Hijja moon will be visible
only on Nov. 18, and not on Nov. 17, making Nov. 29 Sunday the Day of
Eid al-Adha.
