Safar 1432 Hilal was visible in the evening of Wed. Jan. 5, 2011. at many places in N. America. The first date of Safar is Thursday, 6th January 2011 in
North America as is in many other Muslim countries.

Official Saudi first date of Safar 1432 was Wed. January 5. The Hilal was not seen in Makkah on Tuesday, Jan. 4 though the moon set ten minutes AFTER the sunset there.
