The Conference will not tackle the question of Saudi Islamic dates or
verification of its observation claims
The Conference should have focused on:
1. Why KACST calculates the first date of UQ Islamic calendar by the rule:
The moon sets after the sunset on the New Moon date?
2. Why the Supreme Judiciary Council consistently admits the sighting claims in
Saudi Arabia when the
Hilal is NOT SEEN anywhere else in the world the same evening?
It should seriously consider the following proposal?
Islamic month begins next day from 180E if there is a possibility of Hilal
Sighting anywhere in the world on the New Moon date?
An agreed upon rule, stated clearly will unify the Global Islamic calendar Insha-Allah.
